Polling took* place oh loan proposals totalling £83,946, for road construction, an additional electric light unit, tepid bath, rootor-bus service, compensation on drainage contract, reserves improvement, and on £58,216 for waterworks, electric light and sewerage in the newly-merged districts of Kaiti and Mangapapa. Three of the proposals were carried: Ro»ds reconstruction, £37,500; electric light unit, £20,000; and Kaiti loan, £18,560.
