Bums, Philp and Company, Limited, local agents of the Norwegian motor ship SkramBtad have received wireless advice stating the vobsol will arrive thin evening. The fekramstad is from Texas with case oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington and New Plymouth. Cargo for Auckland totals abotit 1800 tons and will bo discbarsed at Western Wharf. THE. SOUTHERN CROSS. Advice has been received that the MelaMission steamer Southern Cross arrived at Noumea, on Septr liber 11 on her journe7 to the mission stations in tha Solomon Islands. After leaving Auckland on September 4, Norfolk island was reached in four days and the travellers were hospitably treated by the islanders who sent gifts of poultry, esss and fruit. Alter coaling at Noumea the Southern Cross resumed her journey and ia expected to roach R&baul, in British New Guinea about November ,17. Arrangements will be made by the mission to commence work there. New Britain, New Ireland and New Guinea being included in the new sphere. SYDNEY PASSENGER SERVICE. With passengers, mails and cargo for Sydney Iho Union Company's interco onin steamer Moeraki sailed from Auckland ehoTtly before mid-day yesterday. The Niagara, en route to Vancouver, is due at Auckland with passengers from Sydney oil Monday. There will not be a passenger steamer weaving this port lor Sydney n?xi wcok; . The Moeraki has made her last appearance at Auckland for some time, as she is to be witlidrawu from the Svdnevrnn. THE WHANG APE. The Whangape arrived from Newcastle earlv yesterday. She berthed at Chelsea to discharge part ot her cargo of coal. MANUKAU BAR WORKABLE. The sea on the Manukau Bar subsided yesterday. The Rimu and Rarawa after being delayed at Onehunga since the previous day soiled for Hokianga and New Plymouth respectively. THE WAIKAWA. The Waikawa, er. route from Samarang. Bunbury, Bobart and Southern ports, is to leave Wellington this evening for Auckland, where she is expected on Tuesday morning. THE RONA. Tho Colonial Sugar Company's steamar Rona sailed last night for Fiji to load sugar and molasses for Auckland. HINEMOA SAILED. Tho Government steamer Hinemoa was despatched at an 6arly hour yesterday for Niuo Island. She ia due back at Auckland about October 13. THE ZINAL. The steamer Zinal, after bunkering at tho North Wall, will go to an anchorage in the stream this morning to await a settlement of the seamen's strike before sho proceeds to Nauru Island. THE KUROW. The Kurow arrived from Wellington last night and anchored iu the stream. Sho will berth at the Prince's Wharf this morning to unload cargo from Southern ports. Afterwards she will load cement at Portland and roturn later to Auckland to complete loading for Gisborne, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. > THE MAHENO. The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Maheno sailed from Sydney at 10 a.m. yosterday with passengers, mails and cargo.for Wollington, who.e sho is due on Tuesday. Sho is to leave Wellington for Sydney next Friday. TREWYN REPORTED. Tho Ilain Line Trowya, under charter to the A. and A. Lino, cleared Norfolk, Virginia, on Wednesday in continuation of her voyage irom Now York, to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is expected at Auckland about tho end of October. TEKOA LEAVES LONDON. The Now Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that tho Tekoa sailed from London on September 19 for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton Bluff and Napier. Sho is due at Port about October 26. AORANGI LEAVES VANCOUVER. Tho Union Company has received advice that tho Royal Mail steamer Aorangi left Vancouver on Wednesday with passengers, mails and cargo for Honolulu, Suva. Auckland and Sydney. Sho is due at Auckland on October 11. and at Sydnoy on October lii. RARANGA AT DUNEDIN.

Tho Show, Savill and Albion Line steamer Raranga, from London, via Suva, arrived at O.ago Heads yesterday. She is still under command of Capam H. R. Gordon. Tho Rararga will discharge also at Lytielton and' Timaru. THE WIRRALL. Tho New ZeiUr.d Shipping Company has received advi&o that tho steamer Wirrall, en route from Montreal, arrived at Sydney (Cape Breton) on September 19, and sailed noxt day for Newport News and New Zealand. Th& Wirrall is bringing cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lytteltor., Dunedin, Sydney, and Molbuorne, Sho is expected at Auckland about October 28. THE CANADIAN SPINNER. Tho Canadian Government steamer Canadian Spinner, now discharging and loading in the South, is due at Wellington on October 3. Sho will sail for Avckland on October 5 to completo her cargo, and on October 9 is to be despatched for New York, Boston and Halifax. THE R.M.S. MAUNGANUI. The Royal Mail liner Maunganui m route from San Francisco, arrived at Rarotonga at 10 a.m. on Monday and sailed tho name day 'or Wellington, whero she is due on Monday morning. She will resume her voyage to Sydnoy on Tuesday. Mails for Australia to be despatched by the vessel will closo at Auckland on Monday evening. TREVERBYN DUE. No wireless advice had been received yesterday from the Hain Line steamer Treverbyn, which ia expected at any time now from New York. She is running under the auspioes of the A. and /V. Line and ;iu bringing oase oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Hooart. She cleared Colon on August CS. The New Zealand Shipping Company are tho local agents. THE DEVON. Tho Federal Line steamer Devon will complete discharge at Central Wharf at about mid-day to-day arid will go to anchorage in the stream. Owing to the stokehold crew having refused to take the ship to sea until the strike is settled the dato of departure for Wellington is indefinite. NIAGARA DUE ON MONDAY. En route to Vancouver, via Auckland, Suva and Honolulu, tho Royal Mail steamer Niagara cleared Sydney at 9.15 p.m. on Thursday. She is due at Auckland early on Monday and will berth at Central Wharf.
