DISASTER IN THE AIR.
BLACK FOREST FATALITY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.30 p.m.) BERLIN. Sept. 14. The disaster to the two French airmen, M, de Goste and M. Thierry, occurred at a spot in the Black Forest known as " Velley Hell." The accident is believed to have been due to a sudden failure of the petrol supply. The machine " nose-dived," and the wing was caught in a tree. The plane turned over and plunged into a brook which was swollen by recent rain, and completely wrecked. The two airmen, who were buried in the wreckage, were extricated with difficulty. M. Thierry was then already dead.
