CITY STREETS.

Sir, —" The Nark" takes credit for tho discovery of a duck poud at tho foot of Albert Street. If ho cares to take a walk on a wet day ho will find a river of mud from tho Victoria Park corner to the Western Wharf with, many "better 'oles'' interspersed, an alleged footpath oil one side aud on the other dumps of sand, gravel, etc., ex-scows and timber from derelict harltour works. Tho writer understands that both tho Harbour Board aud tho City Council liavo been asked to put the road in order, but both disclaim responsibility, with tho result that lessees of the adjacent Harbour Board sections have to .sit patiently by and beo their motor vans, etc, ruined. The stand taken bv the two leading public bodies is deplorable. Ihe roads should bo put in order and tho question of responsibility for the outlay settled afterwards. Wei" Feet.
