COLD WATER BEAUTY.
Spring is the be3t time to start the "cold water cure" for complexion blemishes. The woman who is troubled with open pores, a coarse skin, blotches, or even a sallow tinge in her complexion, should try the effect of drinking two quarts of cold water daily.
The first half-pint should be taken on waking and the last ju.it before going to bed. The other half-pints must be drunk during the day, and in a few weeks a surprising improvement will be noticed in the general appearance. Water helps to the tissues of the body, and does not only beautify the complexion, but will smooth out lines and wrinkles. To effect the latter change the treatment must be prolonged. A celebrated actress, who looks much younger than her actual jyears, always spends her "resting" time taking the " cold water cure." She drinks at least three quarts of clear cold water every day and bathes her face and throat in cofd water several times daily. The result is that she returns from her holiday looking much younger than when she went away.
