AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE.

Only two calls were made on the Auckland sharemarket yesterday, the afternoon call being abandoned on account of the route march of the American sailors. The market was quiet and there were only two sales. In Government securities inquiry for Soldiers' Bonds was lower at £IOO 15s. The demand for Inscribed Stock fell off, only two issues being sought. In debentures holders of New Zealand Breweries firmed to 23s 6d, no buyers quoting. In banks buyers of Nationals of New Zealand were at £6 13s 6d. There was another sale of New Zealands at 56s 9d, closing holders asking 575, buyers 56s 6d. Unions of Anstralia, at £l4 12s 6d, were wanted at £l4 10s 6d. In insurances buyers of New Zcalands were unchanged at 54s Bd, while inquiry for South British improved, slightly to 5Ls 6d. Jn miscellaneous lines Taranaki Oils are available at the lower figure of 20s 6d, buyers being weaker at lfcte 3d. Holders of Wilsons Cements asked 33s 6d> buyers 335. In mining Waihis were steady at holders 25s 6ei, buyers 255. Kawaraus improved slightly to sell at 16s, late inquiry being at 15s 6d.
