OBITUARY.
MR. W. H. BROOKS. The death of Mr. Walter Henry Brooks,. a resident of tho Veterans' Home, oc* curred yesterday at the Auckland Hospi-, taL Mr. Brooks, who was born in the East Indies in 1837, came to New Zealand' with his parents in the ship Ajax in 1847. He served in the Maori War, and fought' in engagements in the Taranaki district. Mrs. Brooks died some time ago.
