The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening:—Fair to cloudy weather is indicated, with variable and moderate winds, southerlies prevailing and veering by west to north. Seas moderate. Barometer, midnight, 3Q.00in.; steady.
GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening that the indications wefo for variable breezes, strong north-west to south-west ruling. Cool and changeable weather could be expected and rain was probable northward of Kawhia and East Cape and in Otago. Tho barometer is unsteady.
