AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE

Inquiry for Government securities remained practically unchanged on the Auckland sharemarket ort Saturday, while there were no sales. In debentures New Zealand Breweries wero Sought at 23s without response. In banks Nationals of New Zealiand at £6 13s 6d were wanted at £6 12s 6d. New Zcalajids wore unchanged at holders 56s 6d, buyers 56s 3d. In insurances there was a sale of New Zealands at the ruling price of 34s 9d, other buyers offering the sale figure, with holders at 35s 3d, 6d abovo Friday's quotation. South British . wero available at 51s 6d, buyers 50s 6<l. In miscellaneous lines Taranaki Oils wero weaker, holders asking 19s 3d, buyers 17s 3d. There was a sale of Unions Oils at 40s, 2s 6d above the previous sale. Wilsons Cements changed hands at the better price of 33s 3d. In mining holders of Wainis asked 25s 6d, buyers ueing at 25s 3d. Tho following sales took place:—New Zealand Insurance, 34s 9d; Union Oil, 40s; Wilsons Cement, 33s 3d. CLOSING QUOTATIONS.
