SUPPLIERS' ANNUAL MEETING [by TELEQKAPn. —OWN* CORRESPONDENT.] PORT ALBERT, Monday. Tho annual meeting of the Port Albert Co-operativo Dairy Company v,-as presided over by the chairman of directors, Mr. Henry Lcgge. Tho attendance numbered about 70. The balance-sheet showed a satisfactory position, and tho final returns to suppliers should bring tho season's output to Is 5d per lb. butterfat. Tho output for the season was 143 tons, an increase of 13 tons over the previous year. The cost of cream-carting and manufacture was approximately tho samo as last season, but tho high rate of cxcliango resulted in an increase in the cost of marketing. It was announced that tho output for August, September and October had been sold for Is 7d per lb., which should enable an advance of 3 s 6d per lb. of butter-fat to bo paid. The election of three directors resulted Messrs. 11. M. Busbridge, 165; H. M. Neal, 135; G. IT. Worker, 111; Mr. W. Dudding received 67 votes and Mr. H. W. Watson 63. After a lengthy discussion it was decided that the company undertake tho testing of suppliers' cows at a cost of 3s per cow to tho supplier, any deficiency to bo paid by the company.
