The third, fourth and final rounds in tho Glasgow Herald's 1000 guineas professional golf tournament wero played at (CJleneagles, Perthshire, on Friday. In the thL'd round Abe Mitchell defeated Alliss 2 up and 1, Havers defeated Kinch 3 and 2, Compston defeated Amos E tip, and J. C. Whitcombe defeated one up at the 22nd hole. In the fourth round Mitchell defeated Jlavers one up at the 20th, and Compston defeated Whitcombe 2 and 1. In the final (36 holes) A. Compston [(North Manchester) beat Mitchell one up. Mitchell led with 69 to 75 in the first pound. Compston made a sensational refcovery in the second when, in a great Jburs.t, he won seven holes out of eight.
