AUCKLAND CLUB. The president's foursome medal competition was played by members of the Auckland Golf Club at Middlemoro on, Saturday. Although tho course was on the hoavy side after the recent rains, the scores returned were very creditablo. A total of 74 players took part. Following wero tho best cards:— L. W. Delph and H. A. The only game played during the weekend in the captain's prize tournament was between H. B. Lusk (ser) and J. L; Clark (scr), the former winning a very closelycontested game by 2 and 1 at tho 26th Clark was dormie one going to the 18th green, and got a four at that hole. Lusk holed a very fine putt for a three to square the match. Tho players decided to play another nine hoios» nnd Lusk won at the Bth. The following games were played m the second match play tournament ;—G. _Morris beat P, Aaser. 4 and 2; W. G. Borne beat A. A. MaTtin, 5 and 4; A. W. Gillies beat W, A. Fairclough 3 and 1; A. L. M. Rhind beat Ross Martin,-3 and 1.. Members of the club are reminded that entries for qualifying round of 30 holes for the club championship, to be played next Saturday, will close with the secretary at noon on Thursday. In conjunction with this event the J. C. Burns Memorial Cup will go to the player returning tho best gross score and a prize will also be given to tho player with the best nett scoro. Tne draw and the lime of play will be published in next Friday's Herald. AUCKLAND LADIES' CLUB. The following names were omitted from the draw published on Saturday for the monthly medal match to be played by the Auckland Ladies' Golf. Club to-morrow:— Miss Spenser plays Miss Bayly. Mrs. Lf. -Hannah plays Mrs. Spenser, Mrs Gqrrje plavs Miss Ruddock, Miss Reid Mr3. Grant, Mrs. Mac Donald plays Mrs. Fleming. Mrs. Didsbury plays Mrs. Rainger, Mrs. Richmond plays Miss Cutfield. In spite of bad conditions on Tuesday Miss Payton made the very fine score of 79. maungakiekie club. A bogey handicap was played on the Titijangi links on Saturday by members of tho Maungakiekio Club. Tlio greens and fairways wero in very good order, having recovered wonderfully well from the recent heavy rains. Tho match resulted m a tie between T. A. Goulding (2) and .T. M.
