PRESENTATIONS.
A large gathering of employees of tho Public Works Department on tho North Auckland railways met at Whangarei to bid farewell to Mr. J. Wolfe, who, after having been foreman for eight years, is being transferred to Gisborne. Mr. Wolfe was presented with a case of pipes suitably inscribed. A complimentary social was tendered at To Puke to Mr. J. V. E. Hobbs, who has represented the Ridd Milking Machine Company in the district for four years and is leaving for the Waikn,to. Ma-. Hobbs was presented with a smoker's companion.
