ATTACK ON PROFESSOR.

STRANGE GLASGOW AFFAIR.

A student of Glasgow Veterinary College was detained by the police recently in connection with an attack which is alleged to have been made upon Dr. Arthur W. Whitehouse, Principal of the College, at Garnethill.

While at the college at Garhethill, Dr. Whitehouse was set upon by a student who, it is alleged, struck him on the face, knocked him down, and stabbed him with a knife on the left lower eyelid. Although Dr. Whitehouse is understood not to be seriously injured, it was found necessary to have his wound attended to by the police casualty surgeon, who inserted one stitch in the injured eyelid.
