RUGBY CONTESTS.
THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. THIS AFTERNOON'S GAMES. PONSONBY PLAY UNIVERSITY. Tho senior Rugby championship competition will bo continued this afternoon, when tho main attraction will be tho contest between POll- - and University at Eden Park. This should be an interesting game as both teams play good football. University have not maintained tho form they showed early in the season, but if their backs can get going they are capable of giving an attractive display. There is no better back division-in the competition than tho Ponsonby rearguard, and as tho leaders possess a solid set of forwards their backs should not lack opportunities to-day. Three other senior games will be played at Eden Park. Grafton play College Rifles on No. 2 ground, while King's Old Boys and Suburbs meet on No. 1 ground prior to tho Ponsonby-Univorsity match. The other game will be between North Shore and Newton on No. 3 ground. Tho game between Grammar Old Boys and Marist Old Boys will bo played at North Shore and should bo a keen, interesting contest. The junior grade competitions will bo advanced another stage.
