Vincent last evening:— Further unsettled weather in indicated, with heavy rain at tijne.s, but fair periods will intervene. Southerly to south-westerly winds, moderate to strong, squally at intervals, veering by west to north. Seas rough. Barometer, midnight—29.so.; steady. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening that the indications were for strong southerly winds, veering to westerlies northward of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, with northerlies elsewhere. A continuance of unsettled, dull and misty weather might be expected, with heavy rain in many parts, The barometer had a temporary rising tendency. RAINFALL RECORD.
