ALLEGATION OF THEFT.
V' THE GINSBERG ARREST/ REMAND GRANTED ON BAIL. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. Raleigh Ginsberg (29) described as an agent, appeared in the Magistrate's Court to-day charged with the theft of £IOO. The chief detective asked for a remand to July 8, and suggested that if bail was asked for it should be made substantial, as he had been informed that accused was making preparations to leave the country. This was emphatically denied by accused's counsel. The chief detective said he understood the total amount involved ran into £IOOO, A remand was granted, and bail was allowed accused, himself in £4OO, or two sureties of £2OO each. Accused is to report daily to the police.
