The Richardson Bteamer Putiki is expected to complete her overhaul on Wednesday, when she will load for East Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier
On account of the recent heavy rains, the Kdromiko will be unable to leave Dunedin before Tuesday, She is coming to Auckland, via Wellington, The Waintii arrivtd at Napier from Auckland yesterday morning. She is expected to leave at 5 p.m. to-day on tho return to Auckland, and ia d.ue here on Monday morning.
The Wingatui, whifth has been delayed at Lyttelton on account of tho rain, is not now expected to leave there before Monday, She ia coming to Auckland via Welllington and Napier.
KUMABA'S PROGRAMME ALTERED. The Shaw. Savill and Albiort Line steamer Kumara arrived at Picton on Wednesday from Sydney for minor engine-room repairs, and was to lemve there on Thursday for loading at Wanganui. thence Timarii*and Lyttelton, sailing finally from the last-mentioned port on July 11 for London, via Panama. MOTOR-SHIP HERMES ARRIVES. The Dutoib motor-ship Hernias, 37G8 tons. Captain £\ A. J. Moll, arrived yesterday xnorninis with a cargo of oil from Singapore, and berthed at the Prince's Wharf to discharge the Auckland portion. Of her total cargo of 500 tons, about 380 tons ore in oases, and the remainder in bulk for which tho vessel in specially fitted. The bulk cargo in being discharged by means of pumpsi and a pipe line direct to barrels on the wharf. The Hermes left Singapore on June o and met with fine weather until last Sunday, when a gale from the south-west was encountered. For two and a-half days the vessel v/au compelled to .voyage at reduced speed against head-on winds and seas. Much water was shipped, and the vessel was considerably shaken, but no damage was done. After completing discharge of the Auckland portion of her cargo, the Hermes will proceed tc Wellington to put out the-remainder. Captain Moll has with hSm-the following officers;--Chief, Mr. W. A. M. THE FLORA SAILED. After completing repairs to her engines, the Union Company's Island steamer Flora sailed at noon yesterday for Rarotonga. She will load fruit in the Islands .for Auckland. THE OMANA FOR HOKIANGA. The Lamb stoamer Omana failed yesterday afternoon for Hokianga and Kaipara to complete discharge of her cargo of coal from Newcastle. Sho will load at tho same time for Sydney. KAIWABRA SAILING TO-DAY. The Kaiwarra came out of dock yesterday morning, after having her new propeller fitted, and berthed at the King's Wharf. She is expocted to sail to-day for Lautona to load raw sugar for Auckland. WAITOMO FOR GEELONG DIRECT. The Union Company advises that tho Waitomo, now discharging coal at tho King's Wharf, will sail on Monday for Geelong direct, instead of via Westport. THE WANAKA IN PORT. Tho Union Company's steamer Wanaka arrived yesterday morning from Wellington and Southern ports and berthed at the Prince's Wharf. She is txpected to - sail on Monday for Napier, Wellington. Ly Helton, Dunedm, Timaru and Oatuaru. POOLTA FOR NAPIER. The Union Company's steamer Poolta was due at Napier yesterday afternoon from Australia. She has a cargo of hardwood timbor loaded at Port Stephens and Clarence River. After putting out a portion of her cargo she will leave on Monday or Tuesday for Tauranja and New Plymouth. THE MOERAKI SAILED. The Union „ Company's intercolonial steamer Moeraki sailed at 11.30 a.m. yesterday for Sydney with 112 saloon and 10i steerage passengers from Auckland. She is due at Sydney on Tuesday, and is schedahd to arrive back at Auckland on July 28. ' KAITANGATA CLEARS HOBART. The Union Company advises that the Kaitangata left Bobart at 11 a.m. on Thursday with cargo from Adelaide. She is due here about Wednesday, and after discharging the Auckland portion of her cargo will proceed to .Napier, Wellington, Lyttolton and Dunedin, THE TEKOA FOR SOUTH. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tekoa Bailed yesterday morning for Wellington and Southern ports to continue discharge of her cargo from London. She will load later at Lyttelton. Wanganui and Wellington for London, sailing finally from tho latto; port on July 25. HERTFORD DELAYED AT GISBORNE. Owing to tain delaying cargo operations at Gisborne, tho federal steamer Bertford ia not expected hore until to-morrow afternoon. On arrival she. will berth at ,tho Queen's Wharf to cbinpleto loading for West of England porta and London. GALE ON EAST COAST. - Stormy weather off the East Coast, prevented the Richardson steamer Awahou from loading sheep at Bicks Bay yesterday. The vessel ia therelore coming straight on to Auckland, and is expected to arrive this afternoon. Mes3r3. Watkin and Wallis announce that she will sail again on Tuesday for Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay and Toiaga Bay. The Richardson steamer Mako, which left here on Monday for Napier, has been delayed by the southerly galo, and was reported to be sheltering yesterday in one of the bays on tho coast.
THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER. No wireless report has been received from the Canadian Government steamer Canadian Challenges, which is due here shortly from Montreal. The vessel left the Canadian port on May 27 and was at Colon on June 9. She has cargo for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Hudd&rt-Farker steamer Ulimaroa left Sydney at 8 p.m. yesterday with passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland. The vessel is due here on' Tuesday. AORANGI DUE MONDAY MORNING. Tho Royal Mail steamer Aorangi left Sydney at 8 p.m. on Thursday with passeugers, mails and cargo for Auckland and Vancouver. The vessel is expected to arrive here early on Monday morning, and will berth at the Queen's Wharf between 9 a.m. and 9 a.m. It is announced by the Unnn Company that she will rosumo her voyage to Vancouver, via Suva and~Hoaolulu, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. KAURI LEAVES GEELONG. Tho Union Company's steamer Kauri is reported by cable to havo left Geelong for Auckland. The»vessel is due here about Thursday. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
