VETERINARIAN APPOINTED
GOVERNMENT'S SELECTION. NOTABLE SCHOLASTIC CAREER. (BY IELICGIUFIT.—-OWN CORRESPONDENT ] WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Department of Agriculture has appointed Mr. J. Mcllwaino Government, veterinarian, and he is now on his way from England to the Dominion.. Mr. Mcllwaino has had a brilliant career at. college and has also had some experience in laboratory work. Ife qualified in the minimum time possible and passed his professional examinations with great credit, gaining the Walley Memorial Prize awarded each year through the Koyal .Collego of Veterinary Surgeons to the student gaining the highest aggregate number of marks out of candidates from all the veterinary colleges of Great Britain and Ireland. Since graduating Mr. Mcllwaine has been engaged in general practical farming.
