A FRANKLIN COMPETITION. CHALLENGE CUP PROVIDED. . Tho Franklin Jersey Breeders' Club is presenting a challenge 'cup for tho champion butterfat-producing cow among the herds of tho members. Rules for this challenge competition have just been adopted, and they specify that the object of tho cup is to encourage the C.O.R. testing of members' cows and so obtain date for. publicity from the performance of such cows. Any cow of any age, owned by a financial member of tho club, and conforming to the rules of C.O.R. testing, shall be eligible to compete. Tho winner shall hold the cup for a year, and, 011 returning it to tho secretary, shall be presented with a medal suitably inscribed, while in tho event of a competing cow putting up a class record for the Dominion the club will present the owner with a miniature of the cup. Any cow entered for C.O.R. on or since April 30, 1925, is eligible for tho first year's competition, for which entries will be received up till tho end of December next.
