MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED.
MACHINE STRIKES A POLE. ACCIDENT AT OTAHUHU. Severe injuries were received by a motor-cyclist, Mr. V. Irwin, aged 24, who was thrown from his machine against an electric light pole in Station Road, Otahuhu, at mid-day yesterday. It is stated Mr. Irwin swerved to avoid a motor-lorry when his bicycle skidded. Mr. Irwin, who resides at Otahuhu, received medical assistance shortly after ;the accident. It was found his collarbone and forearm were broken and he was suffering from concussion of the brain. The motor-cycle was considerably damaged. .
