It is now necessary, it is stated, for all alien immigrants, on arrival in Australia, to bo in possession of at least £4O land-, ing money, unless their maintenance baa been guaranteed in writing by persons | already resident in Australia, who aro , in. a position to furniah a satisfactory guarantee. ' , . , . Practically all tho alien immigrants who arrived here during the latter part of last year with insufficient means of support were Greeks, Yugoslavs, or . Albanians.
