June 10 The Paris correspondent of the Daily Chronicle reports that the Premier, M. Painlevo, informed a number of journalists that he is* about to proceed by aeroplane to Rabat, Morocco, in order to discuss with General Lyautey the best means of dealing with the arrogance of the Riff leader, Abd el Krim. He said he would probably be away for four • days. ' . 1 It is believed that the French Government is disappointed with the progress of the campaign. It had anticipated that the Riffs would be speedily crushed. There is some talk of changing the High Command and the names of Generals Debeney and Weygand are mentioned in. that connection.
