INTERNATIONAL LABOUR
NIGHT BAKING DEBARRED. FRUITLESS BRITISH PROTEST. (Received 9.35 p.m.) Reutor. GENEVA, June 9. The International Labour Conference adopted, by 81 votes to 26, the draft convention prohibiting nightbaking. The representative of the British Government, in submitting amendments, said that even if they were accepted Britain could not commit herself to the convention. The prohibition of night baking in England would l'esult in increasing the cost if the supply of bread was to continue as at present. The British amendments wer<* rejected.
