The jockey, Percy Keene, who was thrown at Wingatui on Thursday when Captain Sarto fell in the Otago Hurdle Handicap, died in hospital to-day. Ho was 19 years of age, and employed by Mr. R. Alexander, of Sockburn, with whom he served his time. This was his second season in jumping races. An inquest was formally opened this afternoon and adjourned.
