Public notice is hereby given that the AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL, in pursuance of its powers under the MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1920. and Amendments, THE HOSPITALS AND CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS ACT, 1909. THE RATING ACT, 1908, THE AUCKLAND AND SUBURBAN DRAINAGE ACT, 1908; and all other powers enabling it' in that behalf, intends on THURSDAY, the 11th day of June, 1925, to make and levy,the following Rates, viz.:— In respect to -the CITY OF AUCKLAND for the year commencing on the: Ist day of June. 1925, and ending on the 31st day of May, 1926: 1. Upon all lands afid buildings to which water is supplied, whose annual ratable value as appearing on the Valuation Roll: Docs not exceed Twelve Pounds Ten Shillings, a rate of Ten Shillings ■<Los). Exceeds Twelve Pounds Ten Shillings, a rate of Two Per Centum (2 per cent.) upon the annual Ratable Value, provided that in no case shall' the minimum amount of such rate be less than Ten Shillings (10s). Upon all buildings used as stores or warehouses or for any purpose other than as dwelling-liousea, a rate of One Per Centum (I-Per Cent.) upon the annual ratable value, provided that: when the supply to Jiydraulic. lifts in such building is wholly paid for by meter, this rate' shall- not be levied upon such buildings.
