NATIONAL BOARD SELECTED. CHOICE OF THE FERN LEAF. [BY TELEGRAPH.-—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. The chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board, Mr. W. . Grounds, has given the following state- , ment for publication:— [ "The fern leaf, with the name New , Zealand upon it, has been selected as the national brand for dairy produce. Experiments are now being made to. deter- [ mine the most satisfactory way of using this brand upon the butter boxes and •, cheese crates. It is probable that it t will be branded on both ends of the cases, . with the particular factory's name in--1 corporated. "An indication was given to the board that the New Zealand' Co-operative Dairy Company will hand over to the board any interest it may have in its contract for the portion of its prodiice exempt from the operation of tho Act. "The board exhaustively discussed many matters involved in the control determined upon that have to be taken up by its London agency. Upon the arrival of its members applications w«ll be invited in London for the position of coin-, i mercial manager.'f?
