THREAT TO UNION JACK. EXPECTED FAILS TO HAPPEN. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. May 25. A much-trumpeted, and equally strenuously denied, rumour to the effect that a certain political party was engineering a repetition of tho incident of burning the Union Jack, which caused such a stir some years ago, in order to bring discredit on an opposing party, drew an immense crowd to the Domain yesterday. Dun precautions were taken by the police, but beyond®a lot of vocal demonstration and flag-flapping at various platforms and occasional horse-play nothing happened..
