LIQUOR AND BOWLS.
Sir,—My experience does not tally witlj Mr. Walker's sentiment, for I have seen men on the green who were not'capablu of taking care of themselves, who saw two "jacks" where only one was lying and as for getting on it, they simply couldn't. They had the "hobbling" and "wobbling" bias as well and all because of that "glass of liquor" that is going, "Cricket." or no cricket, it is not. my doing that the nest is fouled; it neve* would be if the "spot" was kept outsider It vyould be a welcome concession to the temperance sentiment that exists on most greens if those members who kept their lockers stored would abandon the habit, It would remove a great source of trouble, Mr. Walker's signature is suggestive oi that other Johnny whoso portrait, sticks out in a whisky advertisement and who ia always going'strong. Is he" a blood relation ? J, Rendell.
