TO-DAY'S WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. Tho following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. IT, M. Vincent last evening Cloudy and unsettled weather conditions are indicated, with rain following over most of tho Dominion, as a new disturbance is advancing from the west. Winds variable, but northerly to northeasterly winds, moderate to strong, prevailing shortly and freshening. Seas rough and increasing. Barometer, midnight, 30.22 in. ; steady. G OVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—"Present indications are for Viioderato to strong southerly to easterly winds northwards of Westport and Kaikoura, variable winds elsewhere, with liortherlies ruling; weather cold and fair to cloudy generally, with changeable conditions and scattered rain likely, especially' in East Coast districts of the North Island.
