WAR GRAVES IN FRANCE
LAND TITLE TRANSFERS. BRITISH REQUEST DECLINED. Renter. LONDON. May 1. A meeting of the Anglo-French War Graves Committee discussed the transfer of the land titles of 79 British cemeteries which the communal authorities arc refusing to grant. The ground of the refusal is that over much land is occupied. The authorities contend that the cemeteries should be concentrated. The French members of the committee agreed to do their utmost to induce the Communes to consent (o the transfers.
