Ten candidates are contesting the seven seats, including the members of t.hc old board, which numbered live. The hitter liave the support of the Tamaki Progressive Represent at ion Committee. The district's footballers did well on Saturday. In the third u"iade Rugby match St. Ileliers defeated ['nited B by 17 (Kiints to 3. The Tamaki third grade Soccer team beat Green B;i,v by 7 goals to 3, and the fourth grade representatives defeated North Shore by 1 to 0. The proposal to form a troop of sea scouts in the Tamaki area is one which should receive strong support. There is plenty of good material available, and if properly organised a very efficient troop should soon be available.
