THE WHATAWHATA BRIDGE.

NEW STRUCTURE COMPLETED. A LENGTH OF 380 FEET, j [BT TELEGRAPH, —OWN CORRESPON OEVT. ] HAMILTON, Monday. The new bridge spanning the Waipa River on the Hamilton-Raglan road at Whatawhata has been completed by tho Public Works Department. The structure, which is of timber, is 380 ft. long, and is built in five spans, three of 110 ft. nnd two of 25ft. The width is 10ft ( but there is a passing bay in the centre. The bridge is 4jft. lower than the old one, and has a metalled approach of several chains. It occupies the site of the old structure, and the builders' operations were so organised that traffic was stopped on only three (hiy.s.
