NEW MOTOR PLATES.
DISTRIBUTION IN CITY. WORK NOW PROCEEDING. The distribution of the new motorvehicle registration plates is now proceeding at Auckland. The officials at the Welleslcy Street post office are busily engaged in this work, and they have to distribute plates to thousands of Auckland owners. Certificates of registration and license are being issued at the same time as the plates. The new plates arc now attached to many cars seen on the Auckland streets. Owners are obliged to have numbers on their cars by April 1, otherwise they are liable to a penalty.
