An effort is hems made to arrange a combined athletic and cycling carnival for Saturday, April 4, to be followed in the evening with a prize-giving social. Cross-conntry running has been neglected in Auckland for a number of years, but a two-miles steeplechase will be held at the Domain next Wednesday at an evening meetting. Entries close on Monday at 32. Albert Street. It is probable that the five-miles cross-country championship of Auckland will be decided on April 4, also a sealed handicap in the same race.
