FOOTBALL MEETINGS.
THE MARATHON CLUB. 8 The Marathon Rugby Football Cltth held its annual meeting last evening, SergeantMajor Lattey presiding. The report arid balance-sheet, the latter showing a credit of £l7, was adopted. The following officers were elected : President, Mr. H. Frost.; secretary, Mr. M. Adams; assistant secretary, Mr. S. Mcßobio: treasurer, Mr. R. Bach; club captain, Mr. V. Dane; executive, Messrs. D. Glanfield, E. Bray. T. Laird. B. Bennett. and N. McKon/.ie: delegate to the .Junior Advisory Board, Mr. M. McLaughlin. It was decided to .hold practice on Monday and Friday evenings at the Orill Hall, commencing next Monday. Sergeant-Major Lattey was * presented during the evening with a silver teapot as a mark of appreciation of bis work dining the past three seasons. In his reply, bp urged members to stick to their club. - The spirit of the game was club spirit, and this could only bo carried out successfully by being true to the club. THIS WEEK'S FIXTURES.
