ACCOUNTANTS MEET.
CONVENTION OPENS TO-DAY. FIRST HELD »N DOMINION. The first convention of accountants ever held in New Zealand is to commence in Wellington to-day, and will be continued until Friday, The-convention was arranged by the New Zealand Society of Accountants. The opening meeting will be held this evening, and it is expected that Mr. W. E. Best, of Christ-church, president of tho society, will address a gathering of over 100 delegates, excluding Wellington members of the society. Lectures and discussions have been arranged for the remainder of the week", while there is to be nn official dinner on Thursday evening. There will be various social functions. The accountants who are representing Auckland left for Wellington last evening. They are as follow: —Messrs. A. M. Seaman, J. M. Elliffe, 11. C. Robinson, P. ,T. Dawson, P. Chisholm, B. L. Bagnail and H. F. 0. Twigden.
