EX-CROWN PRINCE.
WEDDING GIFT WITHHELD. PLEBISCITE TO DECIDE FATE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) BERLIN. Feb. 21. One of the strangest plebiscites on record will shortly bo taken in Prussia. It concerns a wedding gift to the CXCrown Prince. Twenty years ago 4000 Prussian townships clubbed together to give Wilhelm ornate and elaborate silver dinner set, as well as a pair of candelabra centrepieces at a cost of 600,000 pre-war marks. Tho silversmiths put so much work into the gift that it was not completed until after the outbreak of war, when it was deposited in the Eoichsbank for safe keeping pending a convenient opportunity for its presentation. The ex-Crown Prince is now seeking delivery of tho present, buu the Reichsbank does not feel justified in handing it over now that ho is a private citizen and no longer the royal personage for whom the gift was intended. A plebiscite is now to be taken by the original donors to decide the fate of the gift. _____________
