WAITEMATA POWER BOARD.
AMALGAM AT lON QUESTION. FURTHER INQUIRY DESIRED. Another discussion is promised at the next meeting of the Waitemata Power Board on Monday on the question of amalgamation with the Auckland hoard. Mr. A. E. Greenslade has given notice of his intention to move that before any further expenditure is incurred by the Waitemata, Board, the advantages or otherwise of amalgamation with Auckland be thoroughly investigated by a special committee, the latter to be empowered to engage independent professional advice—preferably that of the engineer to the Hamilton Borough electrical. department.
