There is a shortage of cement in Gisborne. ibis position js not due to the manufacturers putting out an insufficient quantity, but is attributed to the fact that vessels usually employed in shipping the cement are now engaged in taking sheep to Southern ports and bringing wool from the coast. j here is a heav.y demand just now for cement.
