Burns, of Wellington, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. P. J. O'Regan and Mr. L. E. Eastabrook. of Wellington, are at tho Central Hotel. ! General C. W. Melvill, General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Forces, is in Christchurch. « Mr, B, M. Kibblfwhite, the new headmaster of the Eketahuna District High. School, has taken up his duties. Mr. M. Moir, of Christchurch, Mr. W. Thompson, of London, and Mr. A. Baker, of Sydney, are at the Star Hotel. Bishop Averill, Primate and Archbishopeleci of New Zealand, returned to Auckland on Thursday from Dunedin. Dr. L. Cockayne, director of the Fielifi Division of the Department of Agriculture, is at present visiting Dunedin. Mr. B. M. Wilson, general manager of tourist and health resorts, left for Sydney by the Ulimaroa yesterday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. F. Gould, of Dargaville, Mr. and Mrs. E. X. Lelievre of Akarca, and Dr. and Mrs. J. J. Valentine, of Turua, are at the Central Hotel. Mr. J. D. Birrell, of Wellington, Mr. A. Wighton, of Hastings, Mr. R. Bere'i Is, of Amsterdam, and Mr. and Mrs. P. F. H. Hodge, of London, are at. the G.'&nd Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Porteous, of Palmerst'on. North, Mr. and Mrs. A. .1. MeCaul. of Ohakur.e, Mr. A. J. Vogan, of Sydney. Sir. and Mrs. W. Bcndall, of New Plymouth, and I)r. Duncan, of Ponga, are at Stonehurst. Mr. H. F. Ayson, Resident Commissioner of the Cook Islands, was a passenger by he Maunganui, which arrived at Wellington this week. Mr. Ayson, who has come to Wellington partly on business and partly on furlough, returns to Rarotonga next month.
