COLLISION IN STREET.

THE MELBOURNE FATALITY. EVIDENCE AT INQUEST, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. a.m.) MELBOURNE. Feb. 18. At the inquest concerning the death of Mr. E. Johnson Baker in a collision with a Chinese gardener's cart on February 8 a verdict was returned to the effect that, his death was accidental. The English cricketer, Douglas, who was in deceased's car at the time of the accident, said the cart was on the wrong side of the road. He and Mr. Baker were quite sober, and the ear was not racing. Sun Kee, the driver of the cart, said he was on his right side. He saw three cars coming toward him just before the accident. Constable Martin stated that when he reached the scene of the. accident Donglas and another occupant of the car wore, in his opinion, slightly under the influence of liquor.
