BALMORAL ROAD.

Sir, —I notice that the City Council is appropriating a sum to improve Balmoral Road at the Epsom end, 4s this road with the peculiar junctions and levels with St. Andrew's Road and Meriva'.a Road is most dangerous with increasing motor traffic, I would suggest that some land be taken ofi Raton's property at the corner, so that the road at this point can be widened and rounded off. This will prevent accidents and enable drivers to see approaching vehicles. There is also an even mora dangerous corkscrew bend on the rise in Merivale Road which should be widened, this road, with Balmoral Road, being a much used direct route. • Resident.
