DOMINION BAND CONTEST.
WORK FOR THREE JUDGES. The three judges for the New Zealand championship band contest will be Mr. Percy Code, of Ballarat, Mr. Phil Mohr, of Auckland, and Mr, Edward Smith, of Southland. Mr. Code will judge the test selections, the hymn selection, the music of the quickstep and the B-fiat cornet solo championships. The other two judges will adjudicate on the other solos. Mr. Code stated yesterday that, the advertising and propaganda dono in Australia was a matter for congratulation. Arrangements have _ been made by the contest committee with a well-known tourist organisation for the meeting on arrival of all bands and their conveyance to their practice halls and grounds, and for any sight-seeing for which time may be found. Arrangements in connection with the contest arc now practically completed and a final meeting,of tho executive will ho held this evening. This will be followed by the Una I meeting of the general committee.
