NAMES OF VICTORIAN TEAM. AUCKLAND MATCH ON MARCH 53 The New Zealand Cricket Council advised the management committee o£ the Auckland Cricket Association lost evening that the Victorian team which is to play Auckland next month will comprise the following players• 33. Austen, H. Austin, EL I. libeling, J. L. Ellis. Dr, A. E. V, Hartkopf, A. E. Liddicut, E. £. Mayne (captain), KL Millar, W. M. Woodfull, V. 3. Ransford, P. HL Wallace. C. B. Willi" and E. E. Bean (manager). It is understood that W. H. Poasford and J, S. Ryder will join the team after the filth teat match in Australia. The captain, Mayne, waa a member of the last Australian team to visit England, Hartkopf has also played in Australian matches in England and Hansford on numerous occasions. The latter and Liddicui visited New Zealand with tea last Australian team, while Willis waa a member of the A.I.F. team which toured England and South Africa after the war, Ellis repmted to be approaching Gldficld's reputation aa a wicketkeeper. The team will arrive in Auckland on March 12 and will play against Auckland on Friday, Saturday and Monday, March 13, 14 and 16. THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. FOURTH GRADE MATCHES. The management committee of the Auckland Cricket Association met last evening, the chairman, Mr. E. Nalder, presiding. A deputation from the Kingslaud Club asked that the fourth grade competition, which bad been suspended, be recommenced. It was mentioned by the deputation that the majority of the teams in the A Section comprised players over 16 years of age. It was decided to recommence the A Section matches in the fourth grade as from Saturday, with the exception of St. Thomaa' and the Leys Institute cluba. Permission was granted the North Shore Club to regrade R. Oliphant and F. Davis from the third to the fourth grade, A. and L. Johnston from senior grade to first junior. It wai decided to hririg before the North Shore Club the question of the condition of its junior wickets and intimate that an improvement was desired.
