TO-DAY'S EDITION. ATTRACTIVE ILLUSTRATIONS. Up-to-date attractive illustrations are always an outstanding feature of th# Auckland Weekly News, and in this ■week's issue, published to-day, the standard is well maintained. A striking feature is the very attractive double-page of harvesting scenes in Marlborough. Among the current events which as usual are freely illustrated, will be found scenes at the territorial camp at Narrow Neck, lite saving compejatiqns at Paekakr.r- .' tigton, holiday scenes at Stewart 1 : ■ lailton girl guides in camp at Ivo .L. , Auckland's new pipe line in course oi construction, Anglican General Synod at Dunedin, Ponsonby Swimming Club's gala on Saturday, and Henderson railway accident. Other features "include a 'fine series o£ views illustrating the life and work on the East Coast railway, St. Paul's Church, London, for the restoration of which a fund of £250,000 has now been established.
The personalities of the week include New Zealand's new Primate, the Bishop of Auckland, Mr. Justice Alpers, newly appointed to the Supreme Cburt Bench, and Miss Uet B. A. blight, of Wangamu, ■winner of a world-wide beauty competi-. tion.
