NOT ENOUGH WHISKY.

IRISH WOMAN'S WAKE. SON'S VIOLENT RESENTMENT. LONDON. Feb. 9. Declaring that insufficient poteen (whisky) had been provided at his mother's wake, to show adequate respect for her memory, a farmer in Connemara attacked and injured his father-in-law, one Clotherty, and set fire to the house. In an action at law Clotherty was awarded compensation. He gave evidence that his son-in-law demanded £5 worth of poteen.
