THE RODNEY SHOW.
GOOD DISPLAY OF CATTLE, ATTENDANCE SATISFACTORY. fßl' TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WARKWORTH. Monday. The Rodney Agricultural Society, after much anxious thought, decided to carry on with its show at the advertised date, and the result convinced members that the right thing had been done. The attendance on Saturday was not up to the usual number, not merely because of the restriction on children, but also on account of threatening weather and the closing of the cement works. The stock entries in all classes were well up to the. average in numbers and the condition and quality of the animals shown called forth warm commendation from the judges. Jerseys, Friesians and Shorthorns were the breeds represented, and the judges told the exhibitors that some of the animals were fit for any provincial show ring. In the inside exhibits vegetables we well represented, and in the ladies' section a strong entry of needlework was a leading feature, entries coming from a wide area. The points prize in this section was secured by Miss Banks, of Mafamata. The following are the principal awards: HORSES. Draughts.-—General purpose farm horse, T. Mason I, E Farrell 2. E.
