A VISITING EXPERT. INFORMAL DISCUSSION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON. Monday. A gathering of citizens interested in education assembled at Parliament House to-day at the invitation of the Minister for Education, Sir James Parr, to meet Mr. Frank Tate, Director of Education of the State of "Victoria, who has come to New Zealand with the permission of his Government to investigate and report on post primary education. The conference took the form of a round table discussion. Sir James Parr presided and, in welcoming Mr. said he desired the proceedings to be informal. In this way be expected to get a full and free discussion. The conference will be continued tomorrow.
