PALATIAL NEW LINER.
AORANG IS FIRST CRUISE. ENTHUSIASM IN AMERICA. SAN FRANCISCO. Jan. 30. The Aorangi arrived at Vancouver today, thus completing the first stage of her journey to Australia successfully. Brilliant receptions were held at San Francisco. Tho .Bethlehem Shipbuilding Company gave a banquet to a hundred of the Aorarigi visitors. The president, of the company, Mr. James Tynan, presided, and other speakers were Sir Hugh Denison, Sir James Mills, and the Mayor of San Francisco (Mr. Rolfe), who extended the freedom of the city to the visitors. They were provided with motors, and spent an enjoyable time sight-seeing. Thousauds of Americans visited the ship ar>d swarmed into tho engineroom. Vancouver's reception rivalled that of San Francisco. Fleets of ships were beflagged, and their sirens sounded for several minutes
